Our Approach & Standards
Standards that turn principles into accountable action.
Our approach begins with respect for patients, clinicians, employees, hospital leaders and communities. It is carried forward through clear governance, responsible operating practices and standards that can be understood, reviewed and improved.
Our Commitments
Eight commitments carried across the platform.
Quality and safety
Support strong quality oversight, patient-safety systems, continuous improvement and appropriate accreditation or regulatory readiness in coordination with hospital and clinical leaders.
Respect and dignity
Consider the human impact of operating decisions and communicate with clarity and care.
Physician collaboration and clinical independence
Include appropriate clinical voices in relevant decisions while preserving independent medical judgment.
Local relevance and access
Understand the hospital's market and community context before defining priorities or making claims about services.
Operating accountability
Establish clear owners, reliable information, defined expectations and regular review.
Responsible financial stewardship
Use disciplined planning and transparent performance information to support long-term resilience, preserve access and enable appropriate reinvestment in care.
Privacy, compliance and ethical conduct
Protect sensitive information, follow approved processes and escalate concerns appropriately.
Accessibility and clear communication
Make information easier to find, understand and use across digital and human channels.
How these commitments apply depends on SRH's role, the approved relationship, local leadership responsibilities and applicable law and policy.
In Practice
How the standards appear in practice.
Standards only matter when they are visible in daily work. Across the platform, they take the form of named owners, current information and review rhythms that leaders can rely on.
Defined governance and decision rights
Current and supportable information
Clear separation of corporate and patient information
Secure handling of sensitive information
Named owners for actions and escalation
Regular review of performance and risk
Approved services, locations and affiliations
Evidence-based public communication
Communicating Responsibly
Trust depends on accuracy.
Evidence-Based Communication
SRH aims to communicate clearly, specifically and with evidence. We do not use unsupported rankings, guaranteed outcomes or claims about services, physicians, locations or affiliations that cannot be verified.
Protecting Sensitive Information
Patient and confidential information should remain within approved secure processes. General corporate forms and public website channels should not be used to submit medical records, diagnoses, payment details or other sensitive information.
